Starward founder, David Vitale, started off with a simple vision - to create a distinctly Australian whisky he could offer to the world. With the famed Australian wine region in our backyard, he tried something new and never looked back. Moving beyond tradition is exactly where Starward lives, from how it's made, to how it's enjoyed. Their team of distillers, many ex-brewers and winemakers, are driven by flavour and you'll notice this with every outrageously delicious sip.

Hosted by Starward’s whisky experts, you will experience a guided tasting of a selection of Starward classics and limited edition whiskies, while also learning about the Starward whisky making process and what makes them a uniquely Australian spirit.

This 2.5hr tasting experience is perfect for whisky lovers, the whisky curious and fanatics, alike.

Guests will receive a Starward TwoFold cocktail on arrival, sample 5 whiskies from the Starward range, each paired with specially selected food items from Arcadia’s menu.

Whisky 1
Nova - Bursting with notes of red berries, chocolate and soft oak spice, Nova is Starward's fruit-forward, signature single malt whisky. Fully matured in Australian red wine barrels to make it one of our most popular whiskies amongst whisky lovers, cocktail curious and competition judges alike.

Paired with: Savoury arancini

Whisky 2
100 Proof - a robust single malt whisky that is fully matured in American oak, red wine barrels and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). Championing Australian ingredients, 100-Proof is full-bodied and decadent, featuring notes of juicy plum, ganache and sweet vanilla.

Paired with: Freshly shucked oysters

Bourbon Cask No2 - a 52% single malt, Australian whisky fully matured in bourbon barrels for five 'Melbourne years'. The distillers fresh-filled bourbon casks with our tropical and fruit-forward new make spirit, and after five ‘Melbourne years’ (which is a nod to the city’s somewhat chaotic weather), this delicate single malt whisky is ready to sip.

Paired with: Grass fed porterhouse steak

Botrytis Cask - a single malt whisky fully matured for seven years, in fresh and charred casks that once held Botrytis semillon dessert wine. Botrytis (also known as ‘Noble Rot’) is a style of wine dating back to 1526. The name comes from the term ‘botrytis cinerea’, a fungus that affects many plant species, particularly grapes. Under the right conditions, it can produce highly sought-after sweet wines.

Paired with: Mixed mushroom bruschetta

Honeycomb - Taking our versatile, approachable and delicious Two-Fold, we've added a touch of something fun. Carefully infused with the finest native flora honey, sourced locally in Victoria from Pure Peninsula Honey, making it the ultimate cocktail companion, neat sipper or dessert topper.
